  Entries 13, 8 and 7 have a very nice quality and feel to them. Would it be possible to expand this to the base image as a whole? The final product is intended to included the whole airport and some of the surrounding area, not just the terminal

  I very much like hafsa's most recent entry. would it be possible to include the rest of the detail from the satellite base image at part transparency so the heart lungs stand out but the rest of the space isn't entirely white? I also very much like Viberant's take on the terminal itself. it is fun an playful. The final product will be printed the size of a poster such that both the larger image and the detail of the terminal should be visible

  Thank you for the entries so far. As of yet is does not appear that any of the entries have attempted to overlay idea of the circulatory system with the image of the airport. The idea is that the roads in and out are the arteries and veins. The terminal is the heart and the runways are the lungs. I do not have a clear idea of how this can be created visually, but the sinning entry will attempt to convey that idea. Also, please use the image without labels as the base image. The image with the roads highlighted is only included to clarify where the roads are.

     What roads go into and out of the airport? can you give us a visual like circle them using paint?

     hrmm... so, really, all the roads do both, yes? until you get into the area of the terminal itself where the traffic is directed one way around the terminal, all the other roads have lanes going both directions. So i think what would make the most sense (though i do not know if it will look good) is to have one half of each big incoming and outgoing highway be red and the other half blue. Then the split into all red and all blue would come around the terminal and runways. Because the blood coming into the heart (road lanes going into the airpot) are blue (have no oxygen). Then is gets pumped around the lungs (runways) where it goes from blue to red in the alveoli (smallest vessels in the lungs) and then comes back to the heart red before being pumped out to the body. is that helpful?

  I am working on this contest i have a question.do you need the all the roads of image you gave in description or just the airport surrounding ones?

     Great question. I don't think all the roads need to be included. If the central aim of creating and image which evokes the idea of heart and lungs and arteries and veins is achieved, it may not need all of the roads.
