Theme or theme edits needed to themissouritimes.com, the live content site of a small local niche publication. I'm also open to any other improvements or suggestions you may have!

Must have:
Featured content on home page
Sidebar placement for highlighting other content categories
Natural and strategic locations for ads
Have a clean, but image-heavy appearance

Changes to current theme/wish list:
All post titles to sentence case (currently, featured image and slider titles are in title case, capitalizing each word. That is not correct for our style as a newspaper.)
Remove the gray boxes around articles on the sidebar post widget
Author names on the top of posts should be First Last, as opposed to "first-last”
Remove tags from being public on post previews
Remove comments from being public on featured posts and post pages (comments are disabled)
On category pages, bump content to the top - there is currently a staggering. There are also staggered or dropped posts on the home page category widgets. I would love it if the most recent post on a category page took up the page width as featured somehow - would love to hear any ideas you have on this.
Add a top menu bar
Force featured images to fill the page width and featured image spaces on previews within a set perimeter throughout
Enable the font Oswald for titles and categories (body font is fine, everything else should be Oswald, though)
Remove "Category" from category pages. Instead of it saying "Category: Executive Branch," I'd like it to only say "Executive Branch"
Force post previews to be a standard size
Move post title and author to below or floating on top (and white) of featured images
Enable plug-in for similar post suggestions at bottom of posts
Love the idea of category pages being similar to Axios.com. Love their format in general, but featured content is needed to be highlighted to reflect our "front page" of news.

Changes must be able to be made by January 3, 2018.

Suggestions? Ideas? I'd love to hear them! We regularly have tweaks and would love to work together again in the future. Please feel free to ask me anything.
