Now that you know how a 3-tier application can be hosted with standard virtualization, try to host an ELK (Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana) stack with Docker. Requirements:  3 separated Docker container  Internet communication: o LogStash has to be reachable from the lan zone “ServerMgmt” (port 5000) o Kibana has to be reachable from the lan zone “IT” (port 5601)  Intersystem communication: o LogStash needs connectivity to Elasticsearch o Kibana needs connectivity to Elasticsearch  Blocked communication: o LogStash is not allowed to access Kibana o Lan zone “ServerMgmt” is not allowed to access anything beyond LogStash o Lan zone “IT” is not allowed to access anything beyond Kibana  The stack has to be runnable on a virtual Linux server without GUI  Optional: The traffic between Docker containers should be encrypted Hint for the network separation: Take a look at Docker Swarm.
