FWA project: Eat! (resturant name) A typographically themed restaurant

- OVERVIEW

Eat! Is a typographically themed restaurant opening in Dubai in early 2017.

Its design has been influenced by major typographic movements or typographers throughout design history, from John Baskerville to Zuzanna Licko

-REQUIREMENT

Design the LOGOTYPE and FOUR page menu for the restaurant named: EAT, utilizing a typographic style/ typographer from an era of your choosing

THINGS TO CONSIDER IN YOUR DESIGN:

Consider the major movements in typography over the centuries for inspiration and pick one to base your restaurant design on. Maybe you think the work of Giambattista Bodoni would be good fit for the design of the project deliverables, or want to go all out on designing your deliverables like they’ve come straight from the Bauhaus pre-1933… you decide.

TO BE DESIGNED:

1-The EAT! Logotype.

2-A four-page menu for the restaurant

3-PowerPoint presentation that includes:

•Visual research (mood board) of the Art movements and styles

•2 sketches

•Design concept using InDesign (for text editing and formatting) and Adobe Illustrator (for designing the logo and illustrations) the final document must be an InDesign file

-SUBMISSION

• Power point presentation

• Restaurant Menu - InDesign with all the layers names and packaged.

• PDF Final with all the print requirement (Crop -Mark, Color Bar, Registration Mark, Bleed)
