I think you should have static IP in order to point a domain to your server. IP address changes when you reconnect to internet or server is restarted. I currently work with an IT services provider based in the US. I look after his customer's networks. The tasks include: 1. Share point administration and configuration 2. Microsoft Dynamics CRM administration and configuration. We also worked on ADFS for configuring an email mass mailer third party tool to work with CRM. 3. Windows Server 2012 and 2008, which includes setting up and managing AD, IIS, DNS, Domain controllers (main and backup). We manage Virtual machines based on Hyper-V. 4. Sql Server 2012 and 2008, installation and configuration. 5. Good awareness of Microsoft Licensing, especially related to Microsoft Partner programs. 6. Managing and maintaining Windows OS desktops. Have also used Microsoft Multipoint to use thin clients for admin and accounts users 7. Managing a rack in a Seattle data center, that has 15 Windows servers. We did two successful moves of this rack from one data center to another for cost saving purpose, giving full software support to our IT person in Seattle. Now there is no IT person in Seattle, and we are managing maintenance of these servers from Pune, India. 8.
