Hello, I need a 3-page MLA Essay, Written on ONE of of the two topics below(Your choice): 1) Pick a language other than English and find out if children growing up speaking that language (so first language acquisition only) have the same trajectory that we discussed for English-speaking children. You may choose to focus on phonological acquisition, lexical acquisition, or overall stages of development, or a combination of all three, depending on how much information you find. Case studies of how kids acquire this other language would be very helpful. Keep in mind that you will probably have to pick a better—studied language (French, German, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, etc.), since there’s not much work out there on acquisition of smaller languages. 2) Compare the process of first language acquisition to second language learning: how are they different? How are they the same? Are there difficulties which affect second-language learning that don’t affect first- language learning? Are some languages harder to learn than others for some people, and why? Compare current theories on how the brain handles language acquisition vs. learning, best practices in language teaching, or any other ideas you feel are relevant to comparing acquisition vs. learning.
