Summary: ------------------------------- Hands-on Payroll Assistant responsible for assisting Payroll Manager with full - cycle payroll function to include timesheet administration and processing, monthly and year-end close activities, audit support, and interfacing with employees and managers regarding all payroll and timesheet-related matters. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: ---------------------------------------------------------- Payroll Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintain employee payroll information, maintenance of all payroll files, timekeeping, and accounting system applications, assist full-cycle processing of biweekly, multi-jurisdiction payroll, processing of employee electronic timesheets, contract workforce administration, import/export of timesheet data, adherence to all federal and state payroll regulations, general ledger reconciliations, record retention, assist with minimum pay certifications in accordance with contract requirements, maintain interface between third- party payroll application and accounting and HR applications, assist with government and outside audits as it relates to all payroll and timekeeping matters, maintain corporate payroll and timekeeping policies, and interface with managers and employees regarding all payroll and timekeeping matters. Assist with all Year End and W2 Reconciliation. Other duties may assign as needed by payroll manager and or Accounting department. Qualifications: ------------------------------ Requirement includes a minimum of 1-3 years of experience processing the full-cycle payroll within a government contracting environment. Knowledge and understanding of DCAA timekeeping rules required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Prevailing wage experience is preferred. Experience with multiple company payroll a plus. Possess strong computer skills working with MS Office, Deltek GCS Premier or Costpoint, Deltek Time and Expense, and ADP. Must have high level of organization and excellent attention to detail.
