Real Estate Accountant

You are: -Precise with monthly reconciliations including bank accounts, Expensify and credit cards -Experienced with completing Accounts payable -Experienced with completing Accounts receivable - collection procedures -An expert in assisting with month end closing procedures -Accurate in assisting year end T4A and T4 filing -Assisting accountant in auditing and adjusting entries required -Excellent in managing vendors and associated expenditures and prepare expenditure statements -Meticulous in preparing reports for management -Clear and concise while communicating with government offices when needed -Detailed in maintaining comprehensive and up to date filing systems related to all accounting function -Able to calculate agents commissions and communicate with managers and agents regarding deal inquiries accordingly -Eager to take on other Ad hoc accounting or administrative tasks as required What you bring to the table: -Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or completed Collage program in accounting, booking or related fields (preference to candidates with a designation) -3-5 years of Full Cycle Accounting experience -3-5 years of Financial Reporting experience -2-5 years minimum of recent experience in real estate accounting procedures -Excellent interpersonal and communication skill -Experience working with a team -Strong ability to multitask -Experience working in a fast-paced environment; able to work under pressure, has completed repetitive tasks; and under tight deadlines -Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word -Accuracy, strong attention to detail and flexibility -A client focused approach; dependable, excellent judgement, reliable, well organized Things we bring to the table: -Competitive compensation -A start-up driven by changing the status quo, being positively competitive and moving the needle -Experienced leadership -Extremely fast moving Job Type: Full-time Salary: $49,000.00 to $59,000.00 /year Experience: -Accounting: 3 years (Preferred) Education: -Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) Licence: -CMA (Preferred) -CPA (Preferred) -CA (Preferred) -CGA (Preferred) Language: -English (Preferred) Job Type: Full-time Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 a year Experience: -Estate Accounting: 2 years (Preferred) -Accounting: 3 years (Required)
