I create cvs files on my PC and then upload to AWS. The website loads those in to the database and displays information from those files. Currently, the upload is manual and extremely slow. Each file is about 2-3 KB and there are 200-300 files right now, but can go up to a couple thousand in the future. First goal is to automate the import functionality (either from my PC, google drive synced with my PC, or any other better way of doing it). Once a file name is set up (file name does not change just the contents change) it should not require any more manual intervention, perhaps check the file date in the source location and if it is newer kick off the upload automatically. The second goal is to handle the volume. Two uploads a week for each file (perhaps 60 or so files a day) is need at a minimum as the files are updated. Please provide a subject specific response and verifiable experience on this subject. Then I will send you the URL for the website and we can talk about your budget requirements.

Hi, hope you are fine. I have gone through your job description. I'm AWS Certified Technical Professional. . Actually you have files on you local PC and you migrate them to AWS manually. You want to automate this, This is actually a data migration, there arw two ways of this. 1st Solution is I can write a script for you which will automatically copy csv files from your PC to AWS S3 and from there Lambda can read those csv files and add data into DB, I don't know which DB you are using i.e. RDS or DynamoDB. 2nd Solution is I can write script which will automatically take csv files and directly add them to the DB. Hi there , I am a cloud engineer having 9+ years of experience in development and deployment of application/software using ASW and Azure services. I would like to work on your project and below are my suggestions. 1. To filter the latest file we can fetch all the files where last modified date the greater than today's start date. Other option can be while generating the files append current datetime or store them in sub directory which will help to filter the files. In your scenario file upload is not a big deal and as per file size it should not take much time with node.js async but filtering file can be time consuming process as your files are growing. By "upload to AWS", I'm assuming you mean "upload to Amazon S3"? I'm guessing you don't want to log on to the Console. I'm also curious why you put Node and AWS Lambda in the title but then again, I need to ask you more questions. I can definitely get this fixed using a bunch of different approaches: daemon script, sync local directory to AWS - it all depends on whether you want to upload from just one machine or multiple machines. Also, based on how do you prefer to manage your credentials. Ping me with questions before accepting the offer if you'd like to discuss my plan in detail.

Hi, I have previously worked with async processing with Lambdas with file(images) uploads with/without CloudFront and have required expertise with web development and AWS services. I am not worried about the volume and i am hopeful a good mechanism can be built to get the speed and ease you want. I would like to know more on how it is being uploaded now and what is causing the bottleneck. Then i can submit a solution design and you can decide based on that. Thanks

May be we can write a cron job for your first requirement that is triggered hourly to check if there is any update on the files and if so the same can be sent to s3 bucket eventually there won’t be a manual task

I am currently working on aws projects. I have written lambdas which have interacted with s3, dynamodb, postgres, glue, Athena, etc. I can not tell the client names here. For lambda function to scale we need to do optimal configurations. We may require to keep the lambda function warm as well for better performance.
