I am looking for a talented and experienced Mobile App Developer to bring my innovative QuokkaQuest app idea to life. QuokkaQuest is a wildlife adventure and rewards app focused on the Quokka (Setonix brachyurus) that combines education, tourism, citizen science and local business engagement. Users will be able to scan QR codes at designated locations to receive information about Quokkas and earn reward points, which can be redeemed for discounts at participating retail outlets. Responsibilities: Understand the app concept and collaborate with me to refine the app's design and functionality. Design and implement the app's user interface and user experience, ensuring it is visually appealing and user-friendly. Develop the app for both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness. Integrate QR code scanning functionality, GPS location tracking, and push notifications. Implement gamification elements, such as badges, levels, and leaderboards to enhance user engagement. Create and integrate a back-end system to manage user data, rewards, and participating businesses. Ensure the app complies with all relevant data protection and privacy regulations. Provide ongoing support and maintenance, including regular updates and improvements to the app. Requirements: Proven experience in mobile app development, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects. Proficiency in iOS and Android app development, including knowledge of programming languages such as Swift, Objective-C, Java, or Kotlin. Experience with UI/UX design and a keen eye for aesthetics. Familiarity with geolocation services, QR code scanning, and push notification integration. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a non-technical person. Passion for wildlife conservation and an interest in creating engaging, educational experiences.
