Barcelona is the second largest city and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain. The city has everything to offer to every kind of tourist, including those who love the beaches, huge and old buildings, culture and the arts, and history. 1. Sagrada Familia
Sagrada Familia, which is located in the district of Eixample, is the masterpiece and the finest design work by Antoni Gaudi. The cathedral is still under construction, and has in its plan 18 towers and an expanse for 13,000 worshippers. It can be visited even if completion is yet to be expected in 2026.
2. La Rambla
This is boulevard in the heart of Barcelona and measure 1.2 kilometers long. All visitors coming to the city pass through it, the middle section of which is designed for pedestrians only. This avenue, wider than most of the streets in the city, is a popular hangout and a place not to be missed by visitors.
3. La Boqueria
This huge indoor market is the Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, and located at the Ka Rambla entrance, on Ciutat Vella. If you are looking for unique and unusual foods such as black eels, bulls’ tails, handmade pastas, herbs, legumes, dried fruits, salted fish and others, this is the place to go.
4. Placa de Catalunya
This public square measures 50,000 square meters making it one of the largest and the busiest squares.
