SharePoint Proof of concept

Hello At my day job, I do the architecture for a SharePoint Online and Azure for a very large corporate. I have had plenty of experience with this exact topic. For my bid, I will need screenshots of what the Lotus database looks like - what documents and views it has, and a description of what the users do in it. Then I'll write up a document explaining in a few pages what the converted database will look like in SharePoint, as well as which additional services (if any) I would recommend from Office365 and Azure. That is assuming that you want the database converted to SharePoint Online, please let me know if you are using the on-premises version of SharePoint instead, and if so what version. That document is my first milestone, and the second milestone is the delivery of the working SharePoint site itself. I can create it in your environment, or in my own development SharePoint environment and give you a script to deploy it - please let me know your preference. Looking forward to working with you!

I am a SharePoint developer. I have done several lotus notes database migration to SharePoint 2013. Currently I am working on LN migration project for MKS client. Following are the approaches I have used to migrate LN database to SharePoint. 1. Assessment of current database which includes forms, DB fields, documents, access control list,agents, number of items. 2. Planning SharePoint architecture such as sites, list/library, workflows and permissions. 3. Extracting the lotus notes database details 4. Migrating to SharePoint portal. I have 2 project experience on helping companies to migrate data from Lotus Notes 6.5 to SharePoint 2010 on premise. What I am going to do are as follows: 1. Identify the source & scope. 2. Identify the target, SharePoint on premise or Online. 3. Metadata mapping. 4. Write console program to read the source and write to the target including these scenarios: 4.1 Copy files to SharePoint document library. 4.2 Copy data to SharePoint list. 4.3 Copy HTML page to SharePoint page library. 4.4 Copy permission (individual permission, group permission). 5. Produce a Excel file containing the source path and target path and provide reason if migration failed for each item. 6. Demo the console program. Assumptions: 1. The target SharePoint is installed, configured and running. 2. There are libraries/SDK installed to access the source and the target. 3. To increase the throughput such as parallel running processes or division of workload would be implemented if there are still mandays unused. 4. No user interface modification on the target SharePoint. 5. Handling versions, only the latest version of the source will be copied. 6. File extension remains unchanged i.e. won't unzip content if the source is a zip file. More importantly, setup VPN or other methods to allow me to access both the source and target.
