The attached EXE comes from China and unfortunately there is no support and they cannot tell me (they don't know) what coding I should use to connect to the device and to this EXE. I would like to ; a) know what Language it is written in / compiled in. $10 ~ $20 b) have it reversed - decompiled - to source code. If you can only do a) that is Ok I hope then I can find someone for b) thanks

hello, it is written and compiled with Microsoft Visual C++. I cannot decompile the program completely in the budget range but maybe I can patch the software to implement the necessary changes

Hi, this is a native code win32 api executable. Compiled with Microsoft Visual C++ 9.0, neither protected nor obfuscated. Please explain what the final goal of your investigation is. The point is that if you want to obtain 100% compilable sources then it is waste of your time and money - it would be cheaper and faster to develop the clone from scratch. If you need to investigate some specific data or algorithm (cryptography, etc.) that is used by the the application - that is another story.

Hello there! I checked the file you posted, it's not written in a .NET language or Java which means it can't be decompiled to it's source code, I think this file is written in C which we can't get the source code of, because there are many compilers that can compile it and each do some irreversible optimizations to the code, so the best thing we can do is get the Assembly code but I don't think it will be useful to you. Anyways, I see that exe is used to access finger-print locked USB, maybe I can help you if you explain the problem you have with it.
