Help fix an Intel update that's gone wrong on Win 7 PC

Kind of support: Hardware Description of support work: I'd just like to talk someone through this problem and they talk me through a fix or hook up remotely to help. The issue is simply that this morning I started to update Intel firmware using the patch 8.1.72.3002 on my Lenovo ThinkPad T430, as recommended by a popup from Lenovo. What has happened is that the internet connection failed after the patch was 8% complete. The patch has now stalled. However, I'm receicing this message in the [login to view URL] screen: Warning: Do not exit the process or power off the machine before the firmware update process ends. So I don't know how to abort safely. Extra notes: Please offer fixed price or per hour fix, as you prefer. I have entered my location as London, because freelancer.com required it, but this a remote job, not a site visit.
