We would like to understand how many delivered and failed entries occurred after a specific point on a per customer basis. The data consists of three columns. Column A is the customer who has several rows associated with them. Column B indicates if the entry is delivered or failed. Column C indicates the date and time of each entry which is sorted by oldest to newest. For each customer we would like to determine after 10 failed entries in succession how many delivered entries occurred and how many failed entries occurred. We would like this repeated for 20 failed entries and 30 failed entries in succession. For example Customer A has 12 rows of failed entries, then 18 rows of delivered entries, then 4 rows of failed entries, then 3 rows of delivered entries. The result would be Customer A has 21 delivered entries and 4 failed entries. If applying the 20 failed message search Customer A would not be counted. In summary we would like to know the total number of customers, total number of failed entries, and total number of successful entries for the 3 searches (10 failed entries, 20 failed entries, and 30 failed entries. An example of the data is attached. There are 6 spreadsheets sharing approx. 3m entries.

Hi: I have reviewed the project details and understand that you a script that can count the number of times an event occurs. The event will be X failed entries in succession. The value of X will be variable and will be provided by the user of the script. The script needs to take the input X and count the number of customers for whom there are consecutive X failed entries. Please confirm if my understanding is aligned with your requirements. I would suggest a Python program which will take the input in Excel format and also deliver the output in Excel format. The program will be able to handle large amounts of data as Python has modern libraries for this purpose.
