Attached are 2 forms

One Titled BIF_LOG

The Other Business Improvement Form

Both forms are to be kept on a shared server but in different locations

The idea is all users will be able to access The Business Improvement form and fill in the details and the BIF_LOG Form will automatically populate with the details keyed into The Business Improvement Form

To ensure data integrity and accuracy the cells on The Business Improvement form are to all be set up with data validation so the user can select from a list (Ideally preference would be to have the auto predict functionality)

1. On the BIF_LOG form there is a Tab (Worksheet) titled Table Reference – On this tab are all the tables that I would like the Business Improvement form to reference for data validation to create the lists the user can select – I need to be able to add to these tables as time goes by so the data validation needs to be dynamic list

2. On The Business Improvement form in Cell A1 you will notice a directory path currently C:\Documents\BIF LOG – I want this cell to hold the directory path to where the BIF_LOG Form is held on the shared server.

a. So in the code to look up the tables to use for data validation in the Business Improvement form this directory path be used

b. This directory path must be able to be updated/changed when we want to in case the BIF_LOG Form is ever moved to another location on the server

3. When the user opens the Business Improvement form the first thing the need to do is select the BIF Type – The user clicks or tabs into this cell and they select from a list – The list to select from is held in a table titled BIF Type on the BIF_LOG form under the Tab (Worksheet) titled Table Reference

4. Once the BIF Type is selected and the user tabs out of the cell we want the BIF No to automatically be assigned – To do this the code is to look at the BIF Type that has just been selected and looks up the BIF Log workbook by referencing the directory path in cell A1 and then finds the tab (Worksheet) in that workbook that is has the same title – Once it finds the corresponding worksheet in the BIF LOG Workbook it then looks at Column B – it looks for the first blank cell in this column and as soon as it finds a blank cell it looks at the Data held in the cell next to it in Column A and displays that data on the Business Improvement Form as the BIF No

a. For example if the user selects the BIF Type SUPPLY NON CONFORMANCE and then tabs out of that cell, the code finds the BIF LOG workbook and looks at the tab (worksheet) also titled SUPPLY NON CONFORMANCE then looks for the first blank cell in the Column B. When it finds this blank cell it then returns the data held in the cell next to the blank cell held in Column A and returns that data on the BIF LOG as the BIF No

6. The next cell the user needs to complete is the PROBLEM – Again the user is to select from a list – the list to select from is Based on the BIF Type selected earlier. If for example the user selected a BIF Type SUPPLY NON CONFORMANCE then the code is to look up the BIF LOG workbook and under the Table reference worksheet there is a table titled SUPPLY NON CONFORMANCE which holds a list the user can select from

16. At the bottom of the Business Improvement form are 2 buttons – The first is the Email button – If the user clicks on the email button Outlook is to open with this Business Improvement form attached and user can then email the Business Improvement form to desired person

17. The next Button is the save button – When the user clicks on this the information entered on the Business Improvement form automatically populates the BIF LOG Form based on the BIF Type - To do this for example, if the BIF Type selected on the Business Improvement Form is SUPPLY NON CONFORMANCE then all the information entered in the Business Improvement Form n
