Exploded Bill of Materials from flat Bill of Materials using VBA script in Microsoft Excel - 25/01/2018 08:42 EST

Hello, I'm looking to create an exploded Bill of Materials from a file of a flat Bill of Materials using a routine in VBA. In the attached file, the tab "FB BOM" will show a list of Parent items in column "B", its child in column "Q", the parent Unit of Measure in "C" and the child unit of measure in "R" and the child quantity in "S". The code will need to create a full list of all raw material components from the top level item to the first level child component and their quantities on a separate tab. Regarding complexity, a parent-level item may have as many as 8 levels of children, and contain as many as 8 materials at a given level of the BOM so the code will need to be robust enough to handle this without crashing Excel. I've attached the format of output to which I am looking for as well as some other design considerations. The final consideration is that I would like access to the code in the workbook and this cannot be locked or protected from modifcation. If you have any questions please contact me further.
