i have worked in Infosys for about 17+ years and now i am on my own. I have executing projects in Excel Macro for my customers and have delivered many projects for them. For one of my customers i have created balance sheet, Cash Flow using macros. Similarly I have created macros to do complex calculations using formulas. Now coming to your problem statement i understand that holistically the excel is not doing what it is supposed to do. To fix this i need to understand your high level requirements and may be to some extent what each sheet is doing. We may have to rework certain sheets or simplify formulas or introduce intermediate stages in calculation to make the formulas simple. We need to look at combination of factors. If you are interested then here's how I see things will go: - Sheet documentation: You having a considerable amount of understanding of your field and your Excel knowledge gave rise to this workbook and you know your way around it, but to have others work on a sheet of this level will require making a separate document explaining the important concepts and formulas that went into the making of this workbook. This documentation will also serve as a refresher in case you stop using the sheet for a prolonged amount of time. You may create this document yourself or we work together on it in which case it'll have its own Milestone Payment. - Troubleshooting the workbook: This is the main part for which you have created the project. After understanding the workings of this workbook via the aforementioned documentation I'll proceed to fixing the issue or otherwise find an alternate solution to the problem. - Improving the workbook where applicable: Given that you see there can be room for improvement to the formulas of the workbook, I'll see if there can be anything done regarding that. While I can work on macros if required it is my own style to do without them when possible.
