I have a degree in English and Creative writing, so I am adept at creating engaging fiction with a strict deadline, and I am consistent in my grammar and spelling.
Here is an example of my work, from a current novel in progress:
Alex peered into Ilka’s caravan. The sweet and earthy smell of her candles and perfumes melted and disappeared into the air outside. Delicate layers of chiffon, draped across the windows, cast coloured shades throughout the nooks of the space, with streaks of white where the light crept through the gaps in material. Ilka was sat cross legged, reading on a large cushion by the bed. Her face was hidden by her hair, and it shone where the chinks of sunlight hit it. Her bangles clinked together as she turned the page, or pushed her hair from her eyes.
“Is there something you want to talk about?” Ilka asked, her eyes still wandering through her pages.
Alex climbed into the caravan. He curled up by the cushion, resting her head on Ilka’s knees. Her long skirt was soft against Alex’s face, though he could feel the hard bone of her knees on his chin.
He tried to make out the words in Ilka’s book, but they were all sideways. The dark leather cover was frayed at the edge, and its pages were yellowing. Ilka shifted the book so that it rested open in one hand, and stroked Alex’s hair with the other, gently untangling the knot
