Graphic Designer with strong Adobe InDesign skills (Part-Time)

A Brisbane based communication design studio composed of a small team of dreamers, thinkers and do-ers is currently looking for a gifted Graphic Designer with a can-do attitude to join their outstanding design team. You must have a proven track record in delivering results on a consistent basis, someone who has great enthusiasm and is willing to take complete responsibility for a design project. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* - Designing and typesetting documents for print. - Making text and image edits to existing files. - Vector Infographic Design - Logo design / identity development. (Must be able to rationalise creative design work) - Preparing files for print. Includes converting images to CMYK and adjusting curves, brightness and contrast and shadows and highlights. - Adding content to Wordpress websites. - Mailchimp email campaign setups. - Be completely responsible for the development of design themes and concepts, ensuring all assets are designed to the very highest company standard and within allocated budgets and timeframes. - Be able to follow existing design styles and maintain brand consistency. - Perform regular quality assurance checks to ensure the work is being carried out to the highest standards, giving appropriate design advice and highlighting areas of success and improvement. *QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES* As well as being extremely driven and having a desire to develop your skill set and grow with this successful company, the ideal Graphic Designer will: - Be educated - preferably to degree level or an equivalent qualification in Design. - Have 5 or more years experience in an advertising or design role. - Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. - Work effectively in all situations - completely unaided both within the design team and in collaboration with other departments. - Able to problem solve and draw attention to possible issues (small file sizes, inappropriate images, file issues etc.). - Have the ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload with confidence and efficiency. - Demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills. - Be a natural leader. *Essential Skills* - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator - Advanced knowledge of Adobe Indesign - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop - Working knowledge on web design and ability to use Wordpress to edit content. *Highly Desirable Skills* - Adobe Creative Cloud - Wordpress - Mailchimp or similar - Basic HTML knowledge - Experience with Microsoft Office – Microsoft Word and Powerpoint *ADDITIONAL INFORMATION* - Start date: ASAP - Employment type: Permanent Part-time with 3 months probationary period (20 hours a week) - Work Schedule: Monday to Friday – 10:30 am to 2:30 pm AEST or 8:30 am to 12:30 pm PHT - Reporting to: Managing Director/Senior Designer - Industry: Design - Starts at $7.00 AUD per hour (part-time, 20 hours weekly) *Approximately Php 17k - 18k monthly - Paid vacation and sick leaves - Annual performance appraisals - Incentive bonuses *SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS* - Submit your applications together with your most up to date resume (updated to present). - Link or attach your portfolio or other samples of your work. - Include your Skype ID as we are already conducting interviews for the role. - Please note that your resume must summarise the responsibilities you've handled from your previous roles. - Applicants not following the above instructions will automatically be declined.
