HTML mods to 2 pages of a 2013 web template - initial small 1st job

I want to create a small website with written content as hobby/pastime. I found a cheap template I like but I just need some modifications. At this stage it will only have the 2 pages and I have provided layouts for both. Everything needs to be kept simple and user friendly as I will be working on it myself and will come back here for developments. I want a friendly and patient freelance, not pushy. I have broken the tasks down so everyone is clear in whats needed, a good rapport will get asked to help with further developments. 1) zip file template is provided 2) I would like the menus turning into drop down menus with the same style. 3) Modify the front page to look like my picture "MAIN FRONT PAGE" I would like the text to be expandable but the proportions in the pic are roughly what I am after. 4) Copy the front page to make a second page as my picture "MAIN CATEGORY PAGE" I need to be able to paste text into this page and have it extend as needed. All square blocks are for images. 5) I would like to turn the main image on the front page into an image slider for 3-4 pictures, again easily editable so I can change the picture often - doesn't need to be sophisticated. 6) Just give the code a look at to ensure its not too out of date to be responsive when viewed, I will take advice on this, just need to keep the template easily editable, it won't be connected to social media sites in any way, it will just contain written articles so no db needed at this stage. * Don't need any work on graphics/logos or anything like that, just the above mods. * I will license the template before I use it so the author will get their fee. * The site won't be live for months, so no hosting provided, will test on my PC.
