Muscle Meals Direct EDM templates

Muscle Meals Direct is a leader in the fast growing category of healthy, ready to eat meals, developed specifically to increase health & well-being through effective fat loss and muscle gain.

Our meals, cooked daily by professional chefs, are available across Australia from an array of retail partners or can be delivered direct.

We want to create some EDM templates that we can use in Mailchimp.

All in all we probably need 3 basic templates with a header and footer but each will have a different purpose. The first is primarily image based for one-off offers and news items.

The second will be a traditional monthly newsletter EDM with have a section at the top with a header for a main article that will be written below and perhaps some smaller images that will sit above or beside some smaller articles that may simply be a new food item or a picture of one of our sponsored athletes and a little blurb about what they have achieved recently.

We would also like to include a section where we can create an image that clicks through to a video.

The third will be a news focused blog EDM with a main image at the top and text about the blog below.

We have a part-time designer who has layed out 2 of the designs and we have a clean look and feel recently created for all our communications moving forward but we don't have the skills to ensure that our EDMs look as good as everything else.

We could have done the EDMs as a single image but know that this is a problem for many reasons amongst which would be the need to recreate every EDM every time we sent one. What we want to be able to do is to utilise text wherever possible so that our EDMs have a consistent look and feel but can be amended easily by dropping in new images and writing text.

Despite the fact that we cannot create our EDMs as a single image we want the text to look as seamless and as good as our other creative.

This is the reason I say we need templates. in reality the first iteration will be completely layed out and be ready to send.

I can send all the artwork we have created for our EDMs so far and all the information is layed out but it just doesn't look any good.

I can also send a similar style of EDM that I created whilst working with the Sydney Swans AFL team.

Not to mention the drafts of our new suite of POS including menu booklets and A2 posters so that you can see what style we want to achieve across the board.

The EDMs that we created ASAP are as follows (Type 2):

EDM for Prospective customers

All the above have a very similar layout and are already in Mailchimp.

We also need a retailer EDM to our retail partners and this has already been done (Type 1).

Happy to take direction as to best way to lay these out.
