As part of a paper on the Wuhan Lab Leak theory. A back yard laboratory in the Free People's Democratic Republic of Elbonia. A machine on one side with lots of dials and tubes from the "Discount Bioengineering Supply Co". On the other side an ancient fume hood with an obvious hole in the side out of which a noxious green gas is escaping. On the wall, PhD certificates from Uni of North Carolina and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. In the middle two young mad scientists, woman and man, that look like their mentors, Shi Zhengli and Ralph Baric (Google their images). They are excitedly looking at an image from a digital microscope on a monitor, which shows the now too familiar coronavirus but with a mouth and fangs, and possibly a few sharp fish hooks projecting from the surface. On the bench on a pile of scientific journals (Nature, Cell, Journal of Virology) is an open article titled "DIY Chimeras" which has a promanent picture of the same toothed virus. The idea is that with advancing technology we are entering the brave new world in which any small laboratory can create very nasty viruses such as the one behind Covid-19, which was probably created by Shi's group Baric's technology in Wuhan.
