I mainly need someone to adapt the code from this link ([login to view URL]) for me, that I will run on PXLab ([login to view URL]).
I have 90 pictures. I want the 90 pictures to be shown in random order. Each picture is going to be shown twice in a row and rated on two different scales (valence and arousal). For instance, people will see:
picture 1- prompted to rate for valence
picture 1- prompted to rate for arousal
picture 19 - prompted to rate for valence
picture 19 - prompted to rate for arousal
picture 7 - prompted to rate for valence
picture 7 - prompted to rate for arousal
The code I linked above has several examples of scales ([login to view URL]). The ones I am interested in are:
- the portrait version of the 9point scales for valence (the man who progressively smiles the largest)
- the 9point scale for arousal (the man who has that weird explosion on his chest that becomes exponentially larger).
For both, I want to use the scale in which the 9 men are presented in a row (not the reduced scale).
I would like to have an output, maybe a text file, that has one line for each picture and then valence and arousal ratings next to it, on the same line. If it's possible, it would be great if the task prompted me to enter an ID at the beginning, and if each output file were named like the entered ID.
