Trying to do an AI project and needs some help in getting started. Trying to build an AI Machine learning based small project that will help in recognizing brain scans of Alzheimer patients and try to identify the stages in which they are in - initial, medium and advanced stages of Alzheimer. We have got a library of brain scans from a public site and the program should identify and figure out which ones are in which stage and give some predictions. Once this is done then the program has to have some sort of machine learning algorithm which will predict the future of a patient looking at any brain scan and predict the probability of the person getting Alzheimer. 1. Teach the software to identify the 3 different type of brain scans 2. Program software to observe the amyloid/tau plaques from the MRI/PET scans 3. Keep teaching program, by running 25 of each type of brain scans to software ● Python 3.7.0 ● SciKit-Learn 0.21 ● TensorFlow 2.0 ● Access to brain scans of 45 healthy, 45 MCI, and 45 extreme Alzheimer's brains: (MRI and PET showing amyloid and tau protein deposits): Results The researcher will observe the percentage that the program is able to classify brain scans into the three different categories. This will be done by feeding the program different, new, scans and asking it to identify if the scan is a healthy brain, MCI, or extreme brain. If the correct scan identification percentage is marked high, then the researcher will furthermore the research. The next step is asking the program to identify if a brain scan will receive Alzheimer's in the future. This will be proven from a followed long-term study. The researcher will make sure to visualize the percentages successfully predicted through charts and graphs. Thus on the success of the experiment, the program will be proven as a great tool to neurologists to predict if one receives Alzheimer's.

I have been doing Deep Learning for the past 6 months. My main field of interest is in Computer vision. Over the course of the past year, I have developed various intuitions about various mechanisms involved in computer vision. I am not an expert in the medical field and have worked on medical data few times as toy problems on Kaggle but seeing the problem I think I can complete it. As you have mentioned Tensorflow 2.0 in the project description, I would try to make the model compatible with TF2.0, but as the 2.0v is scheduled around February end, I would have to fine-tune the model again if at the time of official release there are some major changes to the API of Tensorflow. Currently, I have the TF 1.2 which is the latest stable version of Tensorflow. A general timeline that I consider would be sufficient for the project 1. As I have not seen the data, so in the worst case I think 4-5 hours for dealing with data. And depending on the images I would have to decide on the further process. But in the worst case, data would be completed within 16 hours. I purposely made the data timelines long, as it is the most important part of any deep learning model. 2) Model building for the first milestone i.e to teach the model the three types of brain scans. Now your requirements from the model would decide on this step. Would you want ensembling to be a part of the process or not? I can make a model and fine-tune it within a day.
