This job has two elements:
1. creating DHTML menu code in reusable format via CSS
2. fixing an existing DHTML menu
1. We are a designhouse that requires reuseable code that can allow us to add a drop-down navigation menu to existing text links. This should be done using valid dhtml and javascript so it works on all browsers from IE 4 and Netscape 4 onwards for both PC and Mac.
The code should allow us to be able to control the size, colour, typeface etc via a CSS and most importantly of all we need to be able to control the menu position relative to the existing link, bearing in mind that the navigation bar may often be centred within a browser of unspecified size.
It should be written bearing in mind that we have the capability to alter html, dhtml, and css's where necessary, but not complex javascript.
We have seen the process outlined above and can refer you, if required, to a stylesheet on a site where this approach works.
2. In the first instance the code will be used to fix an existing dhtml menu where the problem is that while we can get the dropdown menu items to appear/disappear and the links to work, we cannot control the position it appears in relation to the centred page (only in relation to the browser window). We will send the successful bidder a copy of this page as it graphically illustrates the problem and needs fixing URGENTLY.
Before acceptance of the code we expect the new code to be demonstrated on the successful bidder's server fixing the problem on the page mentioned in the above paragraph. Payment will be via Paypal. You should already be a rated programmer.
The code should not infringement any copyright.
