hi, I have worked in AWS waf for more than a year. it's pretty simple to implement AWS WAF if you are willing to use managed rules provided by third party. if you want to write own rules then it may time consuming. are you planning to implement it on CloudFront or ELB? please note that writing custom rules takes time and price will be bit higher in this case. thanks.

Can configure it. also can tell you a another free software based firewall which will work equivalent to AWS WAF.
