This is a project for solving a problem of stability for a MONGODB server under Linux. The project would be make in the versions of Ubuntu Server 20 LTS and Mongo versión 5.0.7, but the failure is also observed under Mongo Version 4.4.10. The problema is not related to a certain machine, but to the configuration made, as different machines have the same problem. The configuration will be provided. The objective of the project is to provide stability to the Database Server, when used for normal operations of data feeding in a database server, consisting in importing and exporting data into and from collections. Definition of milestones: 1.- Install the database server configuration from the script provided. The server would be a replicaset of 3 nodes, all within the same server. 2.- Recreate the scenario of failure (load big databanks). See the problema effects and the logs. 3.- Solve the problem of "Out of memory" setting some configuration changes to activelly prevent the problem. Ideal freelance background: - MongoDB Server maintenance. - Linux expert for Ubuntu Server 20 LTS. Estimated time: The time assigned would be 7 days with a maximum of up to 14 natural days. It this time is reached, the project could be cancelled. Material to be provided to the freelance: 1 - The script to create the mongodb server. 2 - The credentials: - A superuser name. - Password. - IP address. - SSH port. - Big databanks in TSV format.

I understand your urgency and I will try to complete as soon as possible, most probably less than in 7 days. When a Linux machine runs out of memory, it kills the process that is consuming the maximum memory even though that's the most important process for us. There is no way to to tell kill other process, I wish :-) OOM cannot be solved by just increasing memory for all applications. I know there are some applications like Java/Tomcat that needs some minimum memory to work but increasing memory is not always a best solution. Because Applicaitons are like kids, they keep asking for more and more. Please share the details/scripts/process you have to 1. Create an environment to simulate your production environment 2. Process to reproduce to simulating OOM 3. Any other information you have that can help this project Thanks
