Custom iOS and Android Application

SUMMARY The aim of this app is to replace a WordPress website and show all the terms inside an iOS/Android application. The app is for members only, so will be a free download from the App stores, but once downloaded, you will have to login or follow the register link to create an account for yourself. Finer details like will the terms be downloaded to the phone for offline use etc can be discussed. We also need to keep in mind if you are offline, how will we verify the user to grant access to the app. APP OVERVIEW The application itself is relatively lightweight in the sense that it only has 8 screens in total. 1. LOGIN: You will have to login to view the content of the app. We will have a link to register for a profile as well as forgot password link. 2. HOME: This screen will just have a static intro and links to the other pages 3. ABOUT AUTHOR: A static page that is hardcoded into App 4. TERMS: This is the main feature of the entire App. On this page we will have a list from A-Z where you can click the letter and then view ALL the results for that letter. So if you select B, you will see all terms starting with a B. We will also have a search function: When you search for a word, it will show all related terms on the results page. Under the search section we will have 5 random terms displayed on each load of the page. 5. EXTRA RESOURCES: This section comprises of terms that has been grouped together as well as statistics in the form of tables. I think it will be best to show the tables as an image/pdf – suggestions welcome? WEB ADMIN The website content and users will be managed from the website admin section and there will be 2 screens for the public where they will be bale to signup and the other to request a new password. Both these pages will be from links within the Application Public View 1. Signup Page: The user will complete the form (name, email, tel, country, username, password etc) and then click on the PAY NOW button. Payment will be handled by PayFast ([login to view URL]). Upon successful payment the user will be redirected to the website where we will show them further instructions. A welcome email will also be sent to the user with their details and a link to download the App if they have not done so yet 2. Forgot Password: When the user clicks the link within App we will take him to this page to reset the password. User will have to fill in an email and a link will be sent where they can follow it to set the new password Admin Section 1. Users: 1.1 Single Add: In this section you can load a new user without having to pay. 1.2 Bulk Add: This section enables admin to load multiple users (licenses at once). Instead of an individual name, we will load this under a company name and have a contact person for the company. If admin wants to create 100 users, we will use the first 4 letters of the company name and add numbers 1-100 after it. So if company name is ACME DESIGNS, it will be ACME001, ACME002 etc. A RANDOM password will be generated and linked to each of these. After adding the users, a screen with all the users will be listed and an option to export to EXCEL. NB: The app needs to be designed that a username/password combo can only be used with one active session. A user should not be able to be logged in on multiple devices. SUGGESTIONS WELCOME. 1.3 Edit/Delete: Each profile can be edited, activated/deactivated from admin section and also deleted. 2. Terms: 2.1 Add: There must be an option to add new terms to the application. We will enter the term NAME, DESCRIPTION and select a Category. By default all will go to main terms category. Only if it falls under the EXTRA RESOURCES section will we have to select the applicable category 2.2 Edit/Delete: Admin must be able to edit a term and delete one 3. Extra Resources: This section is mainly for GROUPED terms and documents to show inside a specific category. The Extra Resources will be the extra categories you can link a term to in step 2.1 above
