Help me fix a Swift code (AVKit.AVPlayer) to auto-restart after network connectivity loss - 29/04/2018 17:17 EDT

I have a very simple Swift code: player = AVPlayer(url: url) // online stream [login to view URL]() When the network connectivity loss the player pauses and never resumes again (automatically). I would like to make this script fail-safe so that the playback resumes whenever then network is reachable again. Important: I need this to happen also when the App is running in the background (as the App will usually run from the background during long playbacks). A working sample project is attached.
