We have this cool social video app in the making (quite like Instgram but only video and different use case) .."Shrofile" an early stage startup, is a platform aiming to change the way in which the world interacts with one another. For this very mission, it needs a smart, fun and qualified Android or iOS developer... So basically YOU!

As of now a small but vibrant team in India is padding up to create ripples across the web, this team would love to welcome a like minded individual who'd share their passion to disrupt and hunger to innovate. We have a need to get the video upload and video display optimized for usage on IOS (and Android also, if you or your team mate has that skill).
**Generic Mobile App developers, please don't apply. Video app development experience is a must, please display that in your application. **
The core need that we have are:
1. Display video preview in different size and shapes, without changing the aspect ratio of videos being previewed or recorded. We need to see how the preview layer can be set behind layers such as frames and overlays while recording.
2. record video as multiple segments when recording is paused and restarted. These segments will need to be uploaded as an array in one go. The upload functionality is working quite fine.. we need good on device capture.
3. On device optimisation of video recorded to small sizes (based on connectivity) for easy upload. Effectively, we need to record on the device in a best format and upload on an optimized format
4. display video by downloading and streaming in a manner that is elegant. start video play when the video comes into focus in a feed.
5. Find a way to record 1:1 (square shaped) video without any aspect ratio change. This is quite like the instagram recording feature, but we need to get this done on our app.
