Product Photography

Hi Professional commercial photographer and have a portable studio kit highly suited to this type of work. I would only be prepared to undertake this work on my own camera and lighting equipment as that is what I am used to using. Secondly, as you can see from Nathaniel's bid, your budget is seriously inadequate. I'd be happy to do this job on the basis of a minimum four hours on site, £280, + £70 per extra hour on site up to a maximum of six hours in a single session, plus travel £80 and parking / Congestion at cost both of which would billed and payable separately to avoid commission fees. I will also say that if you can come to me it will be much cheaper overall, (charged per product image), and there will be no set up and break down time, no travel, parking and Congestion Charge costs. I have had a client travel from Manchester for a similar shoot (see spectacles on my portfolio). This offer provides you with pack-shots (Amazon standard white background). Any advanced Photoshop, HDR, etc would cost extra on post-production. I know that is not what you wanted to hear but you will see that my proposal is very competitive. Hi, I'm a pro photographer experienced in product photography and shooting watches. I'd like to know more about what you need exactly, where abouts etc and what equipment you have and what's needed. I shoot with my own full frame DSLRs normally and have a 105mm macro as well as studio lighting and retouch skills. Once I know more I can quote you a cost. I also shoot lifestyle (with/without model) images of watches too and can send you past examples. Regards Khalid

First hour @£150 subsequent @£75/HR If you are serious about photographing your watches, at the rates you are offering you'd be better off learning how to use your camera to be fair. Much better to charge per image/watch, a pro wouldn't really charge by hour. You need to know what you are getting for your money. Best of luck, Nathaniel

I love watches. There are some key considerations for photographing the products: + Chrome and glass is highly reflective so shoot in the dark and wear black. + Thoughtful setup set up, easy to swap out product for consistency. + Consider many angles, on wrist, close up of face, textures, strap etc Always use constant quality of light - Elinchom make the best heads. I've shot this before (note the chrome) Also this was on a turn table - great for 360 - Extra idea. [!] Richie.
