[login to view URL] needs to redesign the navigation bar on our website. This will be done in TWO rounds:
1. This first (current bid) round, we are seeking "concepts" for a new navigation bar. We will accept multiple bidder's bids to create initial design proposals.
2. Then, in the next follow-up round, we will offer a One-on-One auction to the seller/coder who has created the best concept, for the completion and integration of the new navigation bar.
Currently, the navigation bar is placed horizontally across the top of the site. It has 7 top-level choices, and then drills down up to two sub-levels deeper depending on the selections. It's built entirely in CSS, with multiple levels of options that appear as you mouse-over them... But it does not work very well and it is not user friendly.
We want something better, cleaner, simpler. Here are some initial specs:
* Easy and intuitive for visitors to navigate site
* Well documented, so we can update it with new choices as they are added/changed
* Mac and PC compatible (cross-browser, within reasonable versions)
* Integrate into current CSS scheme, so we can change colors with seasonal site themes
* Search engine friendly, for proper indexing of site by spiders
More details will be given to accepted bidders concerning expected look and feel.
## Deliverables
* Functional CONCEPT or MOCKUP in executable form, as well as complete source code of all work done (For this first round, the coder shall create a working navigation bar for our review. It will give a proposed look and feel for our site, and allow us to test and review its functionality to determine who will be offered a follow-up One-on-One bid for the second round).
* Deliverables will be hosted on the seller/coder's server of choice, in ready-to-run condition for first round design proposal (The navigation bar does not need to be integrated into our site, but rather a design concept created off-site).
* All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
Our server is running Windows 2003 with the newest version of .NET.
We expect this to run on popular, recent web-browsers on PCs (IE v5.5+, FireFox v1+, Netscape Navigator v6.2+, Opera, AOL) and Macs (Safari/IE/FireFox).
