The software program will guide individuals through the process of writing a business plan by asking a series of questions. This software is specific to the unique needs of non-profit organizations developing “Social Enterprises??. Social Enterprises are legal for-profit business entities owned by non-profit organizations. This package will use business plan writing concepts but with non-profit language, so non-profit leaders have an easier times grasping both “standard?? business concepts and processes’. The software will guide users through a standard business plan format by asking a series of questions specific to each major section and its corresponding subsection within a standard plan. There are typically 9-11 major sections in a business plan including an appendix section. Each major section then contains 3-5 subsections within each. While on anyone of these major sections users will read a description and explanation along possibly with other information geared to assisting the user to write out content specific to their needs. Towards the end of these “narratives?? I’ll give users “open ended?? questions (again pertaining to each section and subsection) allowing the user to type out responses inside text boxes. The text box will allow users to type in as much text one wants for each corresponding question. If users go beyond the apparent space within the box, the box will then “insert?? on the right hand side, a scroll bar. When users are done writing or simply wish to see any area of their text the scroll bar will allow them to do so.
