Site Re-Design

We had placed this job up once before and took a bid from another site. Unfortunately that was a waste of money, time and effort. Please read in full before bidding on this job. Bid Requirements We have four different areas of the site that need to coordinate in design, look and feel: Portal - Uses Joomla CMS Forums - Uses phpBB Gallery - Uses PhotoPost Store - Uses Zen-Cart We will need to see examples of your work using the above software and any ideas you have. No portfolio, no contract. Website should be completed in 30 days with 2 weeks of testing to follow. Website Description This website must be designed and developed using the most current version of each software package listed above. The store will have to be upgraded by you to use the latest version of ZenCart. All other software is up to date and current. The store is of the utmost importance to us and CANNOT look like most 3 column canned layouts. There must be creativity and flair while keeping the template as clean and functional as possible. If you have flash skills and wish to include some flash in banner(s) or some other place that is acceptable as long as it does not conflict with the clean style of the site or the speed at which it operates. Please see below a list of templates we like that can be utilized/converted or used as inspiration to design this site. Many of the examples below are flash sites. A flash site is not what we are looking for. These designs are simply some we like. The majority of functionality is already provided by ZenCart. As the designer/coder you will be responsible to design the website or integrate ZenCart into an existing template, and configure. You will be responsible to update our current database of products into the new design once completed. This job requires the utmost attention to detail. The aesthetics, clean layout, and easy to understand work flow on the website are very important. The bid that we choose will be given a link to our current site to see the type of product we sell, the categories we carry and the general flow of the site. Once a designer is chosen we will provide you with colors and logos to work with. Specific Requirements (ZenCart) A mod that would allow us to put on sale any or all items by a particular manufacturer. Tweaking of the existing Sales Report mod to allow for inputing dates first instead of automatic reporting first. Files sizes should be shown on each product (all downloadable products) Other Requirements Communication is of the utmost importance. We wish to be informed of progress and decisions every step of the way. The website must be fully compatible with all major internet browsers including Microsoft Explorer, Netscape, Opera, and Firefox. The source code for the website will become our property and all components must be maintainable especially the Zen Cart templating system. The website design must be floating. In other words, no matter what screen resolution a user has each section will fill up all available screen space. We will provide you with the color scheme and our logo and any other branding materials you will need to incorporate into the design. Payment You will be paid through the escrow account. We will provide a 20% deposit for the chosen bidder to start the design of the site. The remaining 80% will be deposited to the escrow account after receiving the initial functioning site. The escrow account will be released after 2 weeks of testing and after any and all bugs have been eliminated. This is a non-negotiable payment requirement. License restrictions and legal requirements You must provide a guarantee that any work you produce does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights including copyright and/or trademarks. This design will become our property once you have received the final payment. No credit will be given on the site or any company material to you as the designer. However, you may reference the site in your own marketing efforts as being designed by you and may use us as a reference if needed. By bidding, you hereby agree to adhere to these terms and conditions (and any other applicable terms as defined by us), as well as any imposed by local and international law, and those enforced by GetaFreelancer.
