OpenLaszlo Guidance

I'm looking for an experienced OpenLaszlo developer to help me when I get stuck as I develop an OpenLaszlo project. I'm an experiened MS Access/VBA programmer, with mid-level asp skills. But, I've just been introduced to OpenLaszlo and I keep running into brick walls that take me several hours to figure out. The OpenLaszlo forum isn't responsive enough, so I'm posting here for help. My project will be compiled as a SOLO app. It will make extensive use of Datasets and Datapointers. Most of the data processing will be handled outside the OpenLaszlo application. Your an ideal canditate for this project if you... * are an experienced OpenLaszlo developer * have a very good handle on datasets * are an expert javascript coder * understand how to optimize OpenLazlo for high performance * are good at explaining such things in English * are able to respond resonably quickly to emails with answers over the next 2 weeks You are bidding for 4 hours of support work, to be used up as needed. For example, if it takes you 20 minutes to answer a question, I would then have 3 hours 40 minutes of "support" remaining. A question may require you to write a code snippet. The time it takes to do that counts against the 4 hours, reducing the remaining balance. Unless the question is outside the norm, I would not expect to pay for research time. I expect the winning bidder to familiar enough with OpenLaszlo and the inner workings its quirks. Please address how you meet the above requirements in your bid, as they will be the criteria on which I select the winning bidder. Cost is also a factor, given similarites in bidder qualifications. I will be judging good communication skills in your bid comments. BTW, I was an active buyer on RAC a few years ago (under a different login) and I'm generous with my ratings, given reasonable service. Good luck on your bidding. ## Deliverables 1) The primary deliverable on this project will be emailed answers to emailed questions (or, we may use the RAC site for communication, if you prefer). Some snippet coding may also be required. 2) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 3) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition (except for sample snippets, as described above), as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows, xml files, to be compiled into SOLO lzx files.
