General information for the website: property portal
Description of requirements/features: Hi, I am looking for a local developer for ongoing work on my website. I am looking for a long term relationship and initially have some bugs I am needing fixed:
I have a property website and I had a rightmove blm file imported into its database. The properties are currently being listed under an agent account.
...The website uses the google locations api to search for properties within a certain radius.
The API has a 2,500 requests per day limit.
The data for the properties in the feeds do not include geo-coordinates for each property. there are currently other feeds from expert agent and XML2U which are also set up for the website. they also do not include geocoordinates. The final issue is that when the feeds are being imported, the address of the properties are run through the geolocation API to generate the coordinates. As the other feeds run everyday, they pass all the properties though the API which uses up all 2,500 limit of requests per day. Is it possible to ammend this so that only new properties which are added in the feed are passed through the Geolocation API? So that all the requests are not used up?
Extra notes: I would am looking for somebody based in UK, preferably in the West Midlands/Birmingham, area.
Hi there, I have good experience with Google location API and will be happy to look into this for you. Just to clarify, when processing a new blm or xml into your database, you need to check which properties are already stored before running them through the Google API? Also, I'm based in the southwest of the UK
I built everything from the front-end to the back-end and everything in between.
I have more than eight years of experience in web design & development, testing software program, and system administration ...
