Hi I participated in similar projects many times. There were iOS clients and web-server with API with or without web-client. I developed server part on PHP and MySQL. Several of such projects used Push Notification sending for iOS client, so I know how to send notifications and already used this knowledge. At first iOS developers prepared certificates (developer and production) for Push Notification. I don’t know how they generate them but I can ask them. Than iOS client used API method to register devices. Push Notification token passed as one of argument and token was stored in the database on server. Some other API methods sent notification for devices using stored token and certificate. I don’t know where to get token but I can ask iOS developers also. Notification consists of some text and may consist of custom properties. But total length is limited 160 (or something like this) symbols. Also notification has different Identifier, Badge, Sound, Expiry. They may be hardcoded or to be stored in configuration files (or in the database). Let’s discuss workflow for your application for Push Notification sending, and let’s implement decision.
