I'm working with a wishlist plugin to add posts to a list page (these are just normal posts).
The plugin allows logged in users to name a list and save posts from the website to this list. It then generates a page with the name of the list containing all the user selected posts in a div.
I would like to customise the display of this post list to include some more content from the post. I would also like to add a button next to each post in this plugin-generated-wishlist-page. The button only needs to be turned on or off (or similar) by the user and keep that state saved until they change it themselves. So it needs to store the button state in the user database (?by update_user_meta perhaps). I would also like to have a function which counts how many buttons the user has turned on and display that number to the user.
Thankfully the plugin does provide action and filter hooks which allow custom code to be inserted next to each post in the wishlist.
I have a working idea on how to do this and it doesn't seem too difficult but I'm not a professional programmer and need a website/wordpress programmer to do this for me. I would like to be involved and understand the process so that I can add the same functionality to other websites I create as well.
I would prefer someone who can do this fairly quickly too. Thanks.
