Extension for Firefox and Chrome, API and webservice

Development of two browser extensions (1 for firefox, 1 for chrome) to have the same core code, so that any refactoring / updates are applied only to the common code. On certain websites (list* to be provided) examine the search results, - extract certain data - data to be sent to central server (webservice via API) - request will return additional data - update viewed page with returned data - where view update is applied, links to be supplied to external website Development approach 1. Develop simple API and webservice (apache, php, mysql) 2. Develop extension for chrome that sends and receives data via (1) 3. Develop extension for firefox that sends and receives data via (1) CODE REVIEW to confirm that all common code is indeed common and no duplication of shared code 4. Extend API to support all the data that is going to be required to provide this service 5. Extend common code to extract the data from one of our target websites and send to API storing the data centrally 6. Extend the API to return additional data 7. Extend the extensions to receive the data and display in a rough manner 8. Formatting of output, adding links 9. Adding to Chrome store, Mozilla store Adherence to above plan is mandatory. if you are only skilled in either Firefox or Chrome but can perform all the other activities, html parse, API, webservice - applications will still be considered and we will pair you with someone skilled in the other browser
