So basically one of my clients has had their entire server deleted/hacked and then wiped. They had all their emails etc deleted from the server. They still have the emails locally on their phone and in outlook. They currently are using IMAP email settings and I am worried that if I give them new email settings for a new server it will try and 'sync' and delete all emails to match the new empty server email address. We need someone to help us setup so that they can keep their emails on the phone and PC and not risk loosing everything when they setup on a new server from scratch.

Hi there, Yes, I know that situation, almost the same problem is when the email accounts need to be migrate to the new server. Here is the way how to do this: in outlook, add a new account (with the same address, but with a new password) and just, still in outlook, copy e-mails from an old account to the new. It works, but of course may be time-consuming if there is huge amount of data to send/synchronise Adam
