I need a software developer to create a simple price comparison and ordering software. We work with many distributors of industrial products. Each distributor (supplier) provides pricelists for all the brands that they offer. Therefore, we work with several pricelists for each brand. The idea of the software is to enter multiple product codes and quantities and to receive a list with all the suppliers that can offer each product in ascending order based on price. Additional information should include product description, delivery time, minimum order quantity and supplier’ SKU. Each pricelists corresponds to one brand and one supplier. As the pricelists are relatively large (approximately 50000 lines each), there should be an import mechanism from excel or csv file. At the same time, the software should have interface for changing the information of a single product without going through imports. The software uses the last available price from a supplier, but keeps track of all historical prices for analysis. All information should be easily exported. After the comparison step, we choose the suppliers that we want to use for the order. It is not necessary to always use lowest price, although it should be the default selection. Using a command, the software splits the initial list into several order lists based on the selected suppliers – one list for each supplier. Again, the list should be easily exported into e predefined format. Additional functions include: • Supplier’s quotes – we create a list of items and request special prices from our suppliers. The quotes are entered/imported into the software and compared. They don’t affect the standard prices from that supplier. • Percentage comparison of prices based on the lowest price. • Analysis of historical prices • Basic supplier information (name, address, contact details and etc.) Any suggestions from the selected developer for improving the functionality of the software and adding additional features will be highly appreciated. Initially the software will be installed locally, but should allow for multiple users – server and desktop part. In the future there will also be a web app with additional features for suppliers and clients, which should automate the sales process. The milestones of the project are: 1. Detailed specification of the software based on private discussion in which I will specify additional requirement 2. Views of different screens in the software 3. Programming and testing There will be payment after each milestone. Before programming, the selected freelancer will be given the change to adjust the budget. I maintain my right to post the project for new bidding if the price change is significant.
