I am looking for a developer to re-write/update or start over on a small website forum. The basic requirement is for a forum consisting of; post and reply, uploading of image and email notification to both originator and replier (if there is such a word!) There is an existing forum, written using an access database and written in .asp. The existing forums allow anyone to post. There is one generic password and no individual accounts. At the moment the members forum is accessed via a password protected page. You can see the existing visitors forum at [login to view URL] this is an open visitors forum, both forums are exactly the same in operation. Neither forum is functioning that well, email notifications don't work/image upload is randomly unsuccessful. This was written some 15 years ago and is something I inherited when I took the website over, so it’s probably not surprising that it isn’t working correctly. I’m not a programmer and really need someone to help me solve this problem. I realise that the programming itself is way out of date and will probably need rewriting from scratch, so I remain open minded about the way the job is done. The clients hosting is on a windows server and has no access to a MySQL database unless he pays for it. So something written in .asp and using an access database as direct replacements for the new forum would be preferable. The budget I have posted is just a wild guess, I will need you to supply a fixed quote and timescale for the job. If you need any further information, please feel free to contact me. old

There are a few open source forums on ASP.Net that could be modified to your need, particularly connecting to an Access database which would be the most time taking task.
