Greetings,
****
DO read thru my profile first please......
****
This is an initial introduction .
I'm a semi(early) retired engineer who used to work on Microsoft Visual C++ based engineering projects for 2 decades or more..
I have been using the MFC and other Win32 libraries since it's inception in VC++ 2.x , in the early 1990s.
I was also head-hunted by Microsoft MULTIPLE times, to work on their Visual C++ related teams.
Some facts to consider, when porting legacy VC++ 6 code:
1) the Win 32 Library has evolved and morphed considerably, in newer versions of Visual Studio- to to cater for, and target newer versions of Windows. Platform SDK from the olden days, is now called Windows SDK, and is far bigger and all-encompassing in it's offerings..
2) I have no idea how the VC++ MFC library in Visual C++ 6(which is 21 years old, I believe can be used to target Android or any other mobile phone related platforms, but may be I'm missing something here... Perhaps the project description needs to be done more professionally, with more attention to details on technical and functional requirements etc.
**** A proper Requirements Spec is recommended, if a successful outcome is sought.****
More later, if I hear from you...
