A colleague of mine is working on a movie with a scene where the actor logs into a secure system over a terminal. We want it to be as dramatic as possible - so things like blinking text for the security alerts, tput for menu options, etc... You could write the interface in either bash or python - whichever you'd prefer. Looking for hourly rate because we're still finalizing some of the specifics and want to hear your ideas as well for how to make it look like the actor is accessing a highly confidential system. :) :)

Hi. I always hated all those CLI interfaces in the movies I watched so, unprofessional and easy in some way. Let me know more details about this CLI and we can discuss and see how we can make it. Do you have any ideas in mind? What kind of access he will attempt? What kind of messages we need, warning ? Is there a failure attempt when trying to login ? Let's discuss a little bit about this.

I'm an experienced bash user (scripting since about 2013), and I love the idea! I think that I can make use of some native linux utils such as nmap and netstat to make it look like it's doing something. Depending on the intended use in the scene, I can either make it run by itself and/or be interactive at times, i.e. input a fake password or something along those lines. As for how it would look like, I can make some colorful graphics, including ASCII-art and/or ANSI-art (blocky images in terminal), maybe some flashy ACCESS DENIED notices. Besides that, I'd be able to style the OS to make it look more hacker-y with dark themes and pixel-y fonts. I'll be able to finish it in around two to six hours + time for tweaks/fixes. Looking forward to working with you :)
