I have a RFID reader with some cards which I ordered on ebay. Here is a link that describes it and its output: [login to view URL] If you want to see it is like this one: [login to view URL] It comes with a driver which I installed on my windows 7 laptop and a small application which reads and writes to the and from the cards but NO API or SDK. The app works. I have an octobercms web app which needs to capture card data. Scenario one: Administrator generates id from the app and writes the data to the card. Scenario two: User brings their card to the rfid terminal, scans their card and are automatically logged in. I have written the vb windows form app that should capture the data but the it does not read the card properly - the data buffer is empty. Need help fixing this. May have to sift through the python code reverse engineered code to get this to work.

Hello, How are you? I have read your requirement carefully. I am very familiar with NFC tags and i have develeoped many nfc reader via android and ACR122U reader for mac/linux via java and windows for c#. I use MifareUltralight Ev1 tags and I read all infos like ID from tags. And I have done project similar with your project. I am sure I can give a perfect result to you on time. Best regards. Peng

It is a serial port programming, so your VB code should manage the serial port properly. Better using event-based data such as OnReceived event trigger, and make sure you set the end-of-line delimiter for reading the card data. Let me review your code if you dont mind

I developed an RFID system (similar to the device that you have) for the gates of large container terminal (NPCT1 port in Jakarta). It's being used for security clearance for trucks to in and out in the terminal. The card consists of confidential data of the trucks. The system was integrated into management container system that is being used to manage all the container in it. I also developed a SmartCard system to be used as an electronic visa by the Indonesian government. The card complies with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standard.
