Software engineer needed to support creation of a prototype search tool

This role will involve planning, producing, and maintaining a full stack prototype solution to orchestrate a script running queries against one or more machine learning models as well as potentially a user interface and API. A successful candidate is one who has experience developing a similar solution to allow non-technical users to interact with machine learning models. As this solution is intended for cloud deployment, the successful candidate will also understand how to produce cloud agnostic deployment patterns. This role is temporary in production of the prototype solution with the potential to become full time if the project continues. Required Qualifications • Must be a U.S. citizen • Five years of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree • Demonstrated experience with using Python to interact with web tools • Experience with creating user interfaces using web platforms • Experience with deploying solutions to the Google, Microsoft, or Amazon cloud Desired Qualifications • A bachelor’s degree in computer science • Experience training and using machine learning models • Data mining experience • Experience developing new geospatial methods and technologies from an operations research framework • Experience with advanced statistical analysis and data visualization of large datasets • Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following: HTML 5/Javascript, NET, C++, JAVA, Python, Model Builder, Oracle, SQL, GIScience, GeospatiavAnalysis, Statistics, ArcObjects, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, ArcIMS • Knowledge and experience of leveraging Structured Observation Management (SOM) tools or an understanding of Object-Based Modeling
