Hi, the following algorithm should suffice: 1 Loop through documents, store all file names in a list in file_list, I'd suggest you store the regular expression to be search in a file and then pull in that file instead of using an array in reg_ex_list, loop through each file compare with regular expression list then mark a corresponding parallel list of lists called reg_ex_count which marks where each expression is found (using 1 to represent present and 0 to represent absent), then loop through reg_ex_count and print the corresponding entries from the file_list and reg_ex_list.
