Job Description: Shopify Expert Position: Shopify Expert Department: E-commerce Reporting to: E-commerce Manager or Director Job Summary: The Shopify Expert is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's Shopify platform to maximize online sales, improve user experience, and drive business growth. They will leverage their expertise in Shopify development, customization, and administration to create and maintain a visually appealing and highly functional e-commerce website. The Shopify Expert will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and enhance overall performance. Key Responsibilities: Shopify Development and Customization: Design, develop, and customize Shopify themes and templates to create a visually appealing and user-friendly e-commerce website. Customize and optimize Shopify functionality, including product pages, checkout process, payment gateways, and shipping options. Implement responsive design principles to ensure the website is mobile-friendly and provides a seamless user experience across devices. Collaborate with designers and UX/UI teams to translate design mockups into functional Shopify pages. E-commerce Website Management: Manage and maintain the organization's Shopify website, including product catalog updates, inventory management, and order processing. Optimize website performance, page load speed, and overall user experience to increase conversion rates and reduce bounce rates. Conduct regular quality assurance testing to ensure website functionality, compatibility, and data accuracy. Implement and maintain SEO best practices to improve search engine visibility and organic traffic. App Integration and Configuration: Identify and integrate third-party Shopify apps and plugins to enhance website functionality, customer experience, and marketing capabilities. Configure and customize app settings to align with business requirements and optimize performance. Stay updated with new app releases and features to leverage the latest e-commerce tools and technologies. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze website performance using Shopify analytics and reporting tools. Generate reports on key metrics such as website traffic, conversion rates, and customer behavior. Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement, optimize website performance, and recommend strategies for increased sales and customer engagement. Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders regarding Shopify-related inquiries, issues, and requests. Troubleshoot and resolve website and functionality-related issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with Shopify support and developers to escalate and resolve complex technical problems. E-commerce Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in the e-commerce industry, particularly related to Shopify. Research and recommend new features, integrations, and strategies to enhance the organization's e-commerce capabilities and competitiveness. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, E-commerce, or a related field. Proven experience as a Shopify Expert or similar role, with a strong portfolio of Shopify websites. Proficiency in Shopify development, liquid programming language, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Solid understanding of e-commerce principles, user experience (UX) design, and conversion rate optimization (CRO). Familiarity with Shopify themes, plugins, and app integrations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
