Hi! I'm John Stratakos from Athens. I'm a professional Labview and Arduino developer. Let me assist you on this project. I have great hands on experience with arduino units (uno, mega as well the most modern esp12 and esp32 units) and their assorted shields, sensors and variants. Many fellow arduino programmers trust me to debug their projects. Also, I have many projects on my file that were concluded under Non Disclosure Agreement due to academic or proprietary RnD purpose and are not displayed on my Freelancer profile. For this project I would strongly recommend the usage of esp32 solution due to its high performance dual core cpu, unless your project is constraint by other factors. The cost is more or less the same between arduino and esp32. Both are programmed via Arduino IDE. The integration of the sensor will be easy using the i2c bus. For your information, if you need it besides the raw measurement, I can in a later project write code for a sensor fusion algorithm (ie gps+gyro or gps+gyro+dead reckoning)--please see relevant publication titles on my profile. Worked on a similar project ,off course on a different micro controller. I have pretty good knowledge on arduino too.

I can complete this project by linking the Arduino with MATLAB and performing Integration function from the acceleration data and provide you with the code.
